We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Hand Packer to join our team in the metal fabrications and mechanical assemblies department. The Hand Packer will be responsible for ensuring that finished products are properly packed and prepared for shipment, adhering to quality standards and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Packaging and Inspection: Carefully pack metal fabricated components and mechanical assemblies according to specific instructions and quality standards.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products for defects, ensuring they meet quality specifications before packing.
- Labeling and Documentation: Properly label packed items with identifying information and ensure accurate documentation of quantities and specifications.
- Inventory Management: Assist in inventory control by accurately counting and reporting packed items and materials used.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in packing or assembly work, preferably in metal fabrications or mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to read and interpret packing instructions and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Basic understanding of inventory management practices.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects if required.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with packaging machinery and tools.
- Knowledge of basic mechanical assembly techniques.
- Certification or training in occupational health and safety practices.
Working Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm
Compensation: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
