Job Summary:
As a Recruiter at El Cortez Hotel & Casino, you will be a key player in sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent for a variety of positions across our hotel, casino, and entertainment operations. You will oversee the full recruitment process, from posting job openings to negotiating offers and supporting new hires during their onboarding journey. Your role will be critical in helping us build a team that reflects our commitment to excellent customer service and creating memorable experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for positions across departments including hotel operations, casino staff, food and beverage, and entertainment.
- Create engaging and accurate job descriptions and post them on various recruiting platforms, ensuring they align with our company’s values and culture.
- Source candidates through job boards, social media, industry events, and internal referrals.
- Use LinkedIn as a key platform for sourcing and connecting with potential candidates, building a robust network of talent.
- Conduct phone screenings, in-person or virtual interviews, and coordinate with hiring managers to evaluate candidates’ qualifications.
- Maintain strong relationships with hiring managers to understand hiring needs and provide ongoing updates on recruitment progress.
- Provide a high-touch candidate experience by offering timely feedback and clear communication.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of recruitment strategies to improve candidate sourcing and process efficiency.
- Negotiate job offers and coordinate the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our recruitment strategies and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws.
- Assist with various HR projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Recruiting, preferably within the hospitality or casino industry.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS), and specifically with Paycor, UKG, or Kronos.
- Proficient in using LinkedIn Recruiter and other platforms to source candidates and build talent pipelines.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with candidates and internal teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- A positive, proactive attitude and a passion for working with people.
- A Bachelor’s degree is not required, but significant recruiting experience is essential.
- Knowledge of gaming industry regulations and hospitality recruitment practices a plus.
