Overview
As a Senior Technical Project Manager in our dynamic IT Strategy & Programs team, you'll play a crucial role in steering our most critical projects from conception to completion. You'll be the linchpin ensuring our projects are not only cost-effective and efficiently communicated but also meticulously planned and impeccably executed, with a keen eye on quality assurance, risk mitigation, and overall project viability. This role calls for a blend of strategic vision and practical project management, making it perfect for someone who thrives in managing complex, high-stakes initiatives.
Scope and Responsibilities
- Lead complex initiatives across multiple business lines.
- Provide on-site leadership, motivating the team to meet project goals and milestones.
- Oversee full project life cycle from initiation to deployment for major or minor initiatives.
- Deliver clear, effective communication to executives.
- Help establish practices, templates, policies, tools, and partnerships to enhance organizational capabilities.
- Manage day-to-day project activities and resources, supporting Strategic Planning meetings.
- Report on project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and issues across leadership.
- Manage project scope and changes.
- Delegate tasks to the right personnel.
- Define success criteria and communicate them throughout the project and program life cycle.
Experience Required
- Proficient in Jira and Confluence.
- Financial services industry experience is a plus.
- 7 years in Technical Project Management.
- PMO, PMP, or Six Sigma Project Management Certification.
- 5 years interacting with senior leadership (Director level and above).
- Experience with technology data projects (cataloguing, modeling, mapping, etc.) and reporting.
- Knowledge of AWS product suite and BI tools is a plus.
- Experience managing operating budgets or project financials.
- Agile experience preferred.
