Overview & Responsibilities
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Communications Coordinator will have primary responsibility for upholding the online reputation of Ebara Elliott Energy (EEE) through its social media channels and other media relations activities. The coordinator will also have secondary responsibility for some of EEE’s core external communications initiatives including the web site, trade shows, promotional items, and marketing collateral. Other responsibilities may include:
Advising and assisting corporate departments with internal and external communications programs
Advising and assisting business units with marketing communications programs and materials.
Assisting the global sales teams on an ad hoc basis with projects, presentations and content preparation.
Executing special communication projects as assigned by the Corporate Communications Manager.
BACKGROUND and EXPERIENCE
Proven professional (business-to-business) experience in public relations with an emphasis on writing and social media is essential.
3 to 5 years of experience in corporate communications, marketing, or a communications agency (advertising, public relations) are required.
A Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Technical Writing, or Marketing is highly preferred.
Social media and website content creation and management is required.
Experience with the following is highly desirable: News releases, Media relations, Advertising development and copy, Digital advertising, Presentations,
Expertise with basic office productivity software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat) is necessary. Familiarity with desktop publishing software such as InDesign and Photoshop is desirable.
Experience working in a technical, engineering, or manufacturing environment a plus.
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/COMPETENCIES
Research and draft news releases as assigned by Corporate Communications Manager. Submit for review and approval from appropriate subject matter experts. Finalize, send to media contacts, and post on company web site and company social media accounts.
Act as primary content developer for marketing posts on company social media accounts. Edit, gain necessary approvals, and publish posts.
Collaborate with communications team and other subject matter experts to maintain a social media calendar. Develop optimal posting schedule based on web traffic and other key metrics.
Monitor, respond to, and engage with followers to foster a positive community and manage customer inquiries.
Track, analyze, and report on key online metrics to measure the success of campaigns and optimize future strategies. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging social media trends to keep our strategy innovative and competitive.
Gather and upload photos and other marketing collateral to Elliott Media Repository. Work with sales and engineering personnel to identify and apply appropriate product, category, and market filters.
Assist with Corporate Communications projects in all areas as assigned.
