We have an exciting part-time job opportunity as PRESCHOOL INSTRUCTOR! We are currently looking to hire instructors for the 2024/2025 school year.
WHAT YOU’LL DO: As preschool instructor, you'll plan, coordinate, and implement a well-organized, quality preschool program designed to promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Lesson plan and implement activities that align with the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards.
- Observe and evaluate children’s progress/performance using the Illinois Early Learning and Development Standards, and the Sunbeams & Rainbows Preschool Assessment Form.
- Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order.
- Identify concerns in the social, emotional, physical, or cognitive development of the children and communicate concerns with supervisor and parents when necessary
- Conduct parent/teacher conferences on an annual and as-needed basis.
- Prepare materials for daily activities prior to instruction.
- Adapt teaching methods and activities to meet the needs’ and interests of children of all ability levels.
- Request, store, and inventory classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.
- Attend in-service trainings, as required.
- Collaborate with other instructors and supervisor in the development, evaluation, and revision of Sunbeams & Rainbows.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field, with 1-3 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Teaching certification preferred.
WHEN YOU’LL WORK:
Monday - Friday, 8:15am - 12:00pm.
WHAT YOU’LL GET:
- The anticipated starting pay for this position is $17.00/hour.
- This position falls under Pay Grade B with a pay range of $15.50-$37.50
