Medicaid IDD Waiver Clients
Open Shifts:
North Jackson M-F 1pm-5pm, Every other Saturday 12p-5p
Terry, MS Evenings and Weekends 4pm-10pm
Terry, MS Every other Weekend 10-12 hour shifts 9a-9p
South Jackson M-F 2pm-8:30p
Camden, MS M-F 2:30p-6:30p
Description: Direct Support Professionals (DSP):
DSP’s works directly with people with developmental disabilities to
- assist in teaching strategies to live as independently as possible
- assist an individual with a developmental disability to lead a self-directed life by providing guidance with social skills, advocacy, self-esteem.
- transport to medical appointments, shopping, errands, or activities in their community if needed and or desired.
- assist with personal hygiene, bathing, toileting, grooming, preparing meals
Educational Requirements:
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
One year in home care experience preferred but not required.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age
- Valid driver’s license in good standing
- require successful clearance of local and/or state background check
- Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
Credentials Needed: CPR/First Aid, MANDT or CPI
