Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is actively seeking caring and energetic Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a community-based residential setting in Laurel, MS. The Direct Support Professional position plays an important part in providing assistance in daily living activities, accompanying Pine Belt Mental Health's consumers on outings in the community, and supporting treatment plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
Supervised Living Services provide individually tailored supports which assist with the acquisition, retention, or improvement in skills related to living in the community. Learning and instruction are coupled with the elements of support, supervision and engaging participation to reflect the natural flow of learning, practice of skills, and other activities as they occur during the course of a person’s day. Activities must support meaningful days for each person. Activities are to be designed to promote independence yet provide necessary support and assistance.

Through an extensive continuum of care, we strive to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities.
