Emergence is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Peer Support Specialist to provide encouragement and assistance to help participants in treatment court achieve long-term recovery, connect with the local recovery community, and navigate local resources. EMERGENCE is willing to train the right person.
Peer Support Specialist Position Highlights:

Peer Support Specialist Responsibilities:
- Provide peer support to individuals who experience addiction and are involved in the criminal justice system
- Help clients achieve goals on their individual service plans
- Empower clients to connect with the recovery community and find long-term recovery
- Collaborate with peers, counselors, supervisors, and court staff
- Document activities and uphold the highest standards of professional ethics
- May be required to work evenings and weekends
Peer Support Specialist Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 40 Hours of OHA Accredited Peer Support Training OR willingness to complete this as soon as training program is offered after hire
- Desire to help people suffering addiction achieve long-term recovery
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CRM credential preferred
- Knowledge of local resources and supports
Salary : $41,600 - $48,000
