Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, and commercial restaurant equipment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, customer-focused, and EPA certified, with strong troubleshooting abilities and a commitment to quality service.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning)
- Service and repair commercial refrigeration equipment, including walk-in coolers/freezers, reach-ins, and ice machines
- Troubleshoot and repair restaurant equipment such as fryers, grills, ovens, steamers, and dishwashers
- Perform preventative maintenance to ensure equipment efficiency and longevity
- Accurately document service work, parts used, and recommendations
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, timelines, and maintenance needs
- Follow safety procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies
- Maintain service vehicle, tools, and inventory in a professional manner
Qualifications
- Valid EPA Certification (required)
- Proven experience in HVAC, refrigeration, and commercial kitchen equipment repair
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work independently and manage service calls efficiently
- Strong customer service and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade school or technical training
- Experience with gas, electric, and steam-powered equipment
- OEM or manufacturer certifications
- On-call or after-hours service availability
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and work in tight or hot environments
- Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
