Housing Case Manager
Emmaus, Inc., located in Haverhill, MA, is a non-profit housing and service organization that helps homeless families and individuals rebuild their lives and reach their fullest potential.
Emmaus seeks a talented, hard-working, and eager candidate to join our housing team to provide housing placement and stabilization supports to homeless and at-risk households. The Housing specialist will assist these households to secure permanent housing and develop/implement a individualized housing stabilization plan to meet their own identified goals and remain stably housed.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist homeless households to search for and secure stable housing.
- Coordinate stabilization services those placed in housing to ensure safe, sanitary, affordable housing stability.
- Conduct regular home visits with participants to support them in maintaining housing stability.
- Assist families and /or individuals to connect with community services
- Accompany and transport participants when necessary to support them in obtaining housing and other community services.
- Maintain written documentation on progress and enter monthly housing stabilization reports into the state's computer based information system.
- Landlord/tenant mediation and advocacy
- Other duties as requested by the program director or supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS:
(Emmaus is willing to train and support the right person to grow into this position.)
- Experience working with low income populations.
- BA in related field is preferred but experience may be substituted for education.
- Non-profit experience preferred.
- Bi-Lingual Spanish /English preferred but not required
- Strong written and oral English communication skills.
- Must be able to pass a motor vehicle records check to screen for safe driving record.
- Must maintain a valid driver's license.
- Must undergo CORI check before hiring.

Emmaus provides staff with PPE and follows all CDC COVID precautions. Some in office time is required following strict CDC guidelines. Staff in these positions are required to be vaccinated.
