Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from newspapers, business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet web sites, and other sources.
- Prepares monthly planning and goals.
- Conducts sales reviews with accounts.
- Maintains existing accounts and provides customer service in accordance with the Company's customer service philosophy and standards.
- Schedules product promotions and wine and spirit dinners.
- Travels through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, or talks with customers at the On-Premise place of business or by telephone.
- Sustains the minimum number of sales calls as determined by the District Manager. Working a firm daily itinerary is mandatory.
- Distributes and displays various Point of Sale items.
- Quotes prices and prepares sales orders.
- Estimates dates of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of delivery schedules.
- Prepares reports of business transactions. Maintains customer management profile.
- Works with Administrative and Operations teammates to assure the best service is provided to customers.
- Coordinates customer training.
- Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database through customer service.
- Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
- Investigates and resolves general customer problems.
- Attends trade shows and special events to represent the Company and its brands.
Education and/or Experience
- Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- TN ABC Wholesaler's Employee Permit
- Valid Driver License
- Automobile Insurance - 100/300/50 minimum limits of liability
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SAP, Program Advisor, and Diver.
