What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laboratory Analyst (Chemistry) position at EMSL?
EMSL Analytical, Inc., one of the largest environmental testing firms in the United States, is currently seeking a Full Time Laboratory Analyst specializing in Chemistry analysis for its Carle Place, NY location.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Preparation and digestion of environmental lead samples: paint, soil, wipes and cassettes by Flame AA
Preparation and analysis of samples using ICP
Knowledge of laboratory safety and maintaining proper QC protocols
Clerical duties including report generation and data entry of sample receipt.
Cleaning and Maintenance of lab equipment
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Science a plus, chemistry preferred
One to two years' experience working in a lab setting with FLAA and/or ICP is a plus but not required
Candidate must be able to distinguish between colors in order to perform analysis
Able to work independently or with a team
Able to work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task, and prioritize assignments
Must have good communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills
Available Shift:
Tuesday to Saturday 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Training to start Monday to Friday 12:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
