What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dining room host position at Encore Village of Schaumburg?
Encore Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring for a part time Dining Room Host. Monday shift from 11 : 00am to 7 : 30pm.
The Dining Room Host will greet, seat, supervise and coordinate activities of the dining rooms. The Dining Room Host will be resposible for ensuring satisfaction, consistency, timeliness, quality and efficient service.
Responsibilities :
- Assigns tables, meets, greets and seats the residents / guests in a friendly and professional manner in accordance with set standards.
- Controls the flow of the dining room by ensuring equal distribution of residents throughout the dining room.
- Maintains full knowledge of service standards.
- Assists servers on floor if needed.
- Monitors inventory and restocking of supplies on a regular basis.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the dining venues and / or pantries as well as the equipment by performing weekly and daily sanitation checks.
- Reporting of all hazardous conditions or equipment.
- Reporting of all accidents / incidents.
- Monitors preparation of routine set-up of dining room for next day and / or special holidays.
- Maintains quality level of service.
- Assists the Manager with department orientation for new associates.
- Conducts daily pre-shift meetings for review of the day's activities and menu items.
- Ensures that all menus are professionally presented for residents and guests.
- Responsible for ensuring all tables are set to standard, prior to seating a table.
- Maintains full knowledge of menu items and specials.
- Adherence to all sanitation and food handling protocols.
Experience :
1 to 2 years in large volume Dining Venue required.
Certification :
- ServeSafe Certified
- Bassett Certified
