Position Overview
Our client, a well-established commercial mechanical contractor based in Denver, is hiring a Project Engineer to support their construction operations. The position is well-suited for someone with strong construction fundamentals, a mechanical background, and an understanding of how field teams operate. They have an excellent reputation for quality of service and work across a varied project portfolio of Commercial, Mission Critical, MUSH and Light Industrial builds. The role offers clear project exposure and a defined path toward a future Project Manager role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project execution
- Manage and track submittals, RFIs, and closeout documentation
- Support procurement activities and material tracking
- Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and vendors
- Participate in mechanical job walks as needed
- Maintain accurate project documentation and schedules
- Ensure compliance with project requirements and timelines
Qualifications
- Background in commercial mechanical construction (preferred)
- Mechanical engineering degree or mechanical trade background strongly preferred
- Experience working with or coming from the field side is highly valued
- Strong understanding of GC coordination and construction workflows
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
