A growing industrial automation organization is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to support the design, development, and deployment of electrical control systems for custom machinery and material handling equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on technically diverse projects from concept through startup in a collaborative, engineering-driven environment.
What You’ll Do
- Design, develop, and test electrical control systems for automated machinery and conveyor-based systems
- Create electrical schematics and panel designs using AutoCAD Electrical
- Develop and debug PLC, HMI, and motion control programs
- Work with cross-functional teams including mechanical engineering, project management, assembly, and service
- Participate in all phases of projects: design, build, testing, installation, and customer acceptance
- Support on-site system startups and troubleshooting (10–30% travel)
- Review customer specifications and assist with technical documentation and quoting support

- PLCs: ControlLogix, CompactLogix, MicroLogix
- Software: Studio 5000, RSLogix 500 (legacy), FactoryTalk View ME
- Motion & Drives: Kinetix Servos, PowerFlex Drives
- HMIs: PanelView Plus
- Networks & Devices: EtherNet/IP, IO-Link, industrial sensors, vision systems
- Exposure to Siemens, Beckhoff, B&R, Omron, Mitsubishi, or similar platforms is a plus
