Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and hands-on Director of Human Resources to lead the full scope of HR and Recruitment operations across our organization. This individual will play a critical leadership role in building, developing, and overseeing a high-performing HR and recruitment team that supports both office and field staff. They will ensure regulatory compliance, nurture talent, and align workforce strategies with the company’s operational and financial goals. This position demands a proactive leader with deep expertise in recruitment, retention, compliance, and employee relations within the home health care industry.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
• Serve as a key member of the senior management team.
• Build, lead, and develop the HR and recruitment departments, with a strong focus on performance and culture.
• Establish scalable HR systems, tools, and processes to support organizational growth.
• Lead with proactive, forward-thinking management that anticipates workforce needs and challenges.
Recruitment, Retention & Staff Development
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment for both office staff and field staff, using data-driven tools and technology platforms.
• Develop and implement retention strategies that promote career development and job satisfaction.
• Lead onboarding, mentorship, and employee engagement programs designed to nurture talent and reduce turnover.
• Align recruitment and retention efforts with company profit goals and service delivery benchmarks.
Compliance & Operations
• Ensure company-wide compliance with labor laws, HIPAA, DOH, OMIG, CMS, and Department of Labor regulations.
• Maintain accurate records, job descriptions, and employee files.
• Handle employee investigations, corrective action plans, and policy enforcement consistently and legally.
• Manage unemployment claims and procedures with accuracy and timeliness.
• Oversee Workers’ Compensation claims, including documentation, reporting, and resolution.
• Ensure thorough execution of background checks and compliance with unemployment and risk management regulations.
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll
• Oversee compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they are competitive and cost-effective.
• Manage payroll processes across all departments with accuracy and compliance.
• Analyze labor costs and trends to support budgeting and financial planning.
Employee Relations & Customer Service Training
• Promote a positive and productive workplace culture rooted in respect and accountability.
• Conduct training programs in customer service, communication, and leadership.
• Guide department heads in performance management, conflict resolution, and change management.
Develop and promote strategies and system to engage and support of field staff
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or relevant experience)
• Minimum of 5 years HR leadership experience in healthcare, preferably home health care.
• Strong track record in recruitment and retention of both office and field personnel.
• Deep knowledge of employee engagement and development strategies that impact company performance.
• Proven ability to align HR strategies with business goals and profitability targets.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Experience with HRIS, recruitment platforms, and compliance tracking systems.
Salary : $175,000 - $200,000
