What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Data Scientist position at Equifax?
Equifax is looking for a Principal Data Scientist to join our world-class Data and Analytics Center of Excellence (D&A COE).We are looking to hire a brilliant, highly inspired, hands-on, innovation minded leader to initiate and lead innovative projects in machine learning and AI.
What you’ll do
Research and propose innovative projects in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) both inside our organization and within the global markets we operate
Define and lead full scale AI/ML projects from inception that include massive structured and unstructured data, algorithm development, distributed computation, and run time performance tuning with the goal of deployment and market introduction
Provide technical leadership developing various analytics related AI solutions (descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive) in a cloud based delivery model
What experience you need
Ph.D./M.S. degree preferred in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Computational Statistics, Operations Research, Machine Learning or equivalent.
7 years of hands-on experience in developing industry AI/ML solutions
2 years of experience developing AI/ML cloud solutions (GCP, AWS, Azure)
3 years experience Executive-level large and small presentations, and dynamic cross functional collaboration skills
What could set you apart
Experience engineering innovative features for predictive models
Experience with unstructured data, including time-series analysis and text-based data (Natural Language Processing), especially to generate new features for predictive models
Experience with neural networks, both shallow and deep (e.g. Convolutional Neural Networks)
Experience working with bank and credit data and analytic models, as well as understanding the basic constraints on data and modeling in the credit industry
Experience with the Google Vertex AI Platform components ( BigQuery, Jupyter, Tensorflow, Python, MLOps, Kubeflow, Vizier, AI Prediction, and Continuous Evaluation)
Experience with intellectual property portfolio creation and filing new patents
