- Examine shipment contents and compare with shipping documentation to verify
document findings.
- Report material shortages or shipment problems to Supervisor or to Assistant
- Report shipping and receiving information on required paperwork.
- Move raw material and finished goods to and from storage or production areas,
- Maintain finished goods inventory in warehouse using a first-in, first out (FIFO)
- Secure loads to prevent damage and shifting of product during transportation.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.
- Perform general office duties, such as ordering supplies, and maintain office
- Open, sort, and distribute incoming correspondence, including faxes and email.
