POSITION DESCRIPTION FOR
Erigo is seeking a Human Resource Generalist. The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for providing support for core HR functions to Erigo’s clients. This includes assisting with the maintenance of the HRIS system, assisting with administering human resources policies and procedures, fielding employee questions and third-party inquiries, coordinating and conducting new-hire orientations, providing benefit and compliance support, completing monthly HR reports, and assisting with the documentation of HR processes and procedures. In this role, the HR Generalist will frequently field questions from employees regarding policies, benefits, onboarding, etc. and will also work closely with client contacts to provide high-quality HR support and customer service.

SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week.

DUTIES:

  • Coordinate the new hire process by scheduling pre-employment screenings and sending new hire documents.
  • Conduct new hire orientation, which includes assisting with onboarding and reviewing the Employee Handbook and benefit offerings.
  • Manage medical leaves, including FMLA and non-FMLA.
  • Manage employee benefits, including sending eligibility emails, posting benefit enrollments, processing qualifying events, and administering COBRA.
  • Maintain I-9 compliance.
  • Assist with the development of items for clients such as Employee Handbooks, job descriptions, and Employee Satisfaction Surveys.
  • Manage Worker’s Compensation claims.
  • Provide policy and procedure guidance to employees and managers of clients.
  • Respond to emails and phone calls from employees regarding HR-related items.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or a related field from an accredited college or university, preferred, or any combination of training and experience which meet the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • At least 2 years of directly applicable experience, preferred.
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws.
  • Desire to work as a team.
  • Must have strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
  • Must be a self-starter, motivated, well-organized, results-oriented, and willing to learn new skills.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
