Erwin Electric, Inc is currently seeking a BIM VDC Designer in the Tampa Bay Area.

Job Description:
The BIM VDC Designer is responsible for the management & production of the building electrical models (BIM) and field/shop drawings, the content for the building electrical systems and coordination process.

• Oversee and complete the process of virtual construction and design documentation.
• Ensure compliance with Corporate BIM Program and Processes.
• MEP experience is a plus.
• Position requires knowledge of REVIT and AutoCAD for the purposes of design development and construction documentation.
• Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills are a must.
• The position requires the ability to work as part of a team and to work demanding schedules at times.
• Prepare 2D and/or 3D electrical system layouts.
• Develop electrical building models from sketches, 2D drawings, or Bluebeam and verbal instructions
• Applicant must be proficient in basic project management assignments.
• Applicant will assist project managers, designers and superintendents by completing assigned tasks.
• Participates in design review meetings and reviews and monitors design with particular attention to scope, cost changes and constructability.
• Other duties and skills as required.

Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in 3D drafting and modeling.
• Knowledge of the construction industry.
• Excellent organizational skills and communication skills both written and oral.
• Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office.
• Proficient in REVIT and AutoCAD.
• Bluebeam experience.

• Clean criminal background check and able to pass a drug test.

Pay Range: 
$23.00 - $35.00/hr (Based upon Experience)
