Essentra is immediately hiring a Research and Development Technician to join our team at our Flippin, AR production facility. As a Research and Development Technician, is responsible for running basic machine shop equipment to construct in-house robots and troubleshoot problems with robots.
We are hiring for 1st Shift (8:00am - 4:00pm) - Starting at $21.00/hour

As a Research and Development Technician, you will:
- Run mills, lathes, and welders to build in-house robots.
- Trace and correct fault and mechanical issues in robots
What we are looking for:
- *PLC experience is a MUST*
- Robotic programming experience
- Willing to learn to run mills, lathes, and weld aluminum and steel
- Ability to troubleshoot basic electrical and pneumatic circuits
- Ability to work with other employees to solve problems; patience with machines and personnel is a must.
- Demonstrate ability to learn to read and comprehend basic, pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical schematics.
- Requires foundation of competencies in basic pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and electronic systems
- Ability to execute productive maintenance which includes fixing problems before the machine fails
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to to stand, walk, and use hands. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Good organizational skills
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 years of relevant injection molding robotics equipment and/or production robotics experience
