What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Aide - CNA position at Estates Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center?

Responsibilities:
- Transport residents to/from medical facilities and/or other activities as needed in a safe manner.
- Accountable for resident’s care while away from the facility.
- Identify and report any condition requiring management or clinical attention during the transport.
- Ambulate and transfer residents, utilizing appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
- Monitor and record resident’s vital signs as needed during transport.
- Assist during downtime at the nursing home with nursing assistant or other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Current state driver's license in good standing.
- Nursing Assistant Certification from state.
- Must be at least 25 years of age due to insurance constraints.
- Must have an acceptable driving record, verified by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
- Must successfully complete an Employee Driver Proficiency in a timely manner.
- Ability to record information and perform technical procedures.
- Good communication skills with excellent self-discipline and patience.
- Must qualify for company insurance, pass DMV check and practice safe defensive driving skills.
