Transportation Aide - Certified Nursing Aide (CNA)

We are looking for a full-time Transportation Aide – CNA to be a part of our incredible team and who has the same vision.

Our Transportation Aide - CNA transports residents to medical appointments and social functions; provides courier service to pickup and deliver items to and from facility; and provides residents with appropriate care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan. Is also available on Saturdays

Qualifications:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with laws of this state.
• Must be at least 21 years of age with an acceptable driving record.
• Possess a current, valid driver's license.
• Must have no Type A violations, such as driving while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs, hit and run and reckless driving.
• Good interpersonal skills in working with all kinds of people on a daily basis.

Specific Requirements:

• Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of the residents served.
• Be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.
• Must be able to transport any resident of the facility that can be transported via automobile, bus or van when needed.
• Must be trained or capable of being trained in "Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation" (CPR) and be able to perform CPR when and if needed.
• Must know or be capable of being trained in the operation of a van or bus wheelchair lift and show competency.
• Must be capable of performing a “Daily Vehicle Safety Inspection Log” to verify the safety status of the vehicle and to report any inadequate system that may need attention to their supervisor.
• Must be capable of maintaining the vehicle or reporting to their supervisor an item that would need to be repaired through a reputable vehicle service repair company.
