Wage Range: $142,501 - $227,947 per year
Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.
Job Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of EvergreenHealth clinical research administration including developing, managing, coordinating and overseeing all pre and post award aspects of clinical research and investigational studies at EvergreenHealth.
Primary Duties:
- Identifies and coordinates research studies consistent with the Research Committee guidelines and EvergreenHealth’s mission, policies, service lines and programs.
- Works with governmental, non-profit, foundation and pharmaceutical study sponsors to identify studies appropriate to EvergreenHealth and obtains approvals for participating in such studies.
- Identifies and engages potential physician investigators for the study. This includes physician communication, education and ongoing coordination throughout the study.
- Serves as Chair of the Research Steering Committee.
- Identifies new funding sources and bring new studies to EvergreenHealth.
- Recruiting, supervising and working with investigators to identify research funding sources and develop proposals for on–time submission.
- Responsible for oversight, management, planning and direction of research operations.
- Implement Business Plans for achieving strategic and tactical business directives.
- Driving direction of research activities by evaluation and analysis of research portfolio; being subject matter expert on clinical research, alignment of research activities with EH goals and initiatives.
- Establish, Track, and Deliver on key performance indicators as they relate to research program. Track against local benchmarks in the area to ascertain local trends.
- Make determinations regarding complex elements of contracts, in collaboration with Finance and Legal.
- Create and promote institutional relations with strategic partners, to support research efforts.
- Serve as business development liaison with pharmaceutical industry for pipeline trials.
- Oversees CTMS, AP and Receivables, site purchasing and vendor contracts.
- Oversees Research Manager/Supervisor activities, indirectly oversees work within each therapeutic area.
- Oversees Finance Analyst, regulatory and contracting members on team.
- Oversees quality assurance including regulatory compliance, monitoring, internal and external audits and fiscal responsibility.
- Coordinates with any outside groups completing contracted research studies at EvergreenHealth.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
License, Certification, Education or Experience:
REQUIRED for the position:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 10 years of experience in an administrative or operations leadership role; or an equivalent combination of education/experience
- 5 years of experience in an academic, non-profit, or research setting, or equivalent
- 3 years of management or supervisory experience in the research setting
- Knowledgeable of financial principles, analysis, planning and budgeting especially in an academic research environment.
- Knowledgeable and experienced in administration of contracts and grants including academic, federal, state, and private pre- and post-award policies and issues.
- Expert knowledge in research administration related to federal, non-federal, private, non-profit and gift guidelines and regulatory issues
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
