EveryMind is hiring a full-time Manager for Homeless Adult Programming team in Rockville, Maryland. Our Homeless Adult Programming Manager is responsible for the direct day to day implementation, staff support and management specific to the Homeless Outreach Team that directly engages adults living unsheltered and the Housing Initiative Program (HIP) that supports previously homeless adults to maintain housing in the community. Previous experience or specific interest and focus of these populations is required. This position will oversee data management and analysis, billing, quality assurance and control, and other functions for a successful program and client outcomes and impact. 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in case management supporting severe mental health diagnosis, experience working with substance abuse, the ability to effectively interact with a variety of constituents and managing staff.  Master’s degree in social work, human services, or related field and LCPC or LCSW strongly preferred.  A minimum of 3 years working in the field of mental health, substance use, or homeless services required.  Want to make a difference? Come be a part of the amazing work EveryMind is accomplishing!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Include: 

  • Leading data collection, analysis, and evaluation, billing, and quality assurance and control measures for the department (i.e. chart audits, etc.). 
  • Supporting with preparation and completion of all department reporting requirements.
  • Providing coverage in the field, as needed, including but not limited to, street outreach and client visits in the community or in clients home.
  • Completing all documentation for direct services or needed chart updates as outlined by funding requirements and program policies, ensuring timeliness and accuracy are me.  
  • Supporting onboarding of new clients, working with client and staff to ensure alignment with program policies and procedures, prior to transitioning client to a Service Coordinator’s caseload. 
  • Assisting in interviewing, onboarding, and training new staff in partnership with Director. Regularly review, utilize, and give feedback as needed to all staff through various communications channels.
  • Communicating with county providers, county staff and contract monitors as needed. Attending meetings as assigned and communicating back to the teams or Director as needed. 
  • Overseeing call report review and data reporting requirements for the Homeless Information Line. 
  • Maintaining knowledge and regular training around best practices in Homeless Outreach, housing supports and knowledge of related populations.  
  • Other ad-hoc projects and duties may be assigned.

 Education & Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, human services or related field strongly preferred.
  • LCPC or LCSW strongly preferred.
  • 2 years experience supervising and managing staff preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years working in the field of mental health, substance use, or homeless services required. 
  • Strongly preferred experience includes working knowledge of implementing and providing a housing first model and harm reduction strategies and data collection, analysis, and evaluation methods. 
  • This position will be trained and hold an HMIS Agency Admin license, previous of knowledge or use of electronic record system strongly weighted. 
  • Previous experience providing case management and trainings preferred.

 Skills Required:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks while working effectively as a team player. 
  • Must have strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills. 
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality. 
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite specifically in Excel and data management and gathering platforms.

 Work Location:

This position has the possibility of hybrid, providing an opportunity to have a blend of remote and onsite work at the discretion of the Director. Onsite work is regularly required and includes participation in internal and external meetings, attending community events, supporting direct staff and/or clients and efforts to support building strategic partnerships.

The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds frequently. The job's specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

The employee must be available to perform the duties of the job mostly during core business hours (between 9-5pm, M-F), some flexibility with schedule may be available (evening and/or weekend hours). Employee will work mostly on-site but may work some hours remotely with approval of supervisor. The employee must pass a criminal background check. Certain job functions may require employee to pass a child sexual abuse and other criminal activity as well as a credit check. All staff providing services to staff or clients, must be free of illegal drugs and abuse of alcohol, and must be fully able to perform all required duties at all times.

The employee is also required to travel to different locations. Therefore, the employee must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle.

Full COVID-19 vaccination is required for this position. New hires must be fully vaccinated by the first day of work. (Accommodations may be made for Medical or Religious reasons). If not vaccinated employees must undergo weekly COVID-19 testing. The option for weekly testing is only for certain positions.
