BASIC FUNCTION:
Provide excellent customer service and designer eyewear to address individual patient's optical needs.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in lab functions, including repairs, adjustments, sales; ensure eyewear meets quality optical standards, and any duties assigned by management.
PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist patients with eyewear selection, including explanation of prescription and lens options that best fit their needs. Ensure eyewear orders are accurately entered and submitted to lab and insurance companies. Verify quality and accuracy of eyewear when received from lab. Collect appropriate co pays for rendered services at time of service. Dispense, adjust, and repair eyewear. Troubleshoot patient issues with prescriptions and eyewear in general. Follow-up with all patients two weeks after dispense. Train patients on insertion and removal of contact lenses, in addition to cleaning and care. Remain watchful of overdue orders and contact patient about delays. Maintain a clean and orderly lab and dispensary. Educate patients on new products and optical practices. Maintain a positive attitude towards coworkers and patients. Ensure all credits and returns are processed and followed through with in a timely manner. Any other duties assigned by management.
We have 3 locations in Addison, Burbank, and Willowbrook we ask that you are willing to travel to them
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma
Previous optical experience or education in optometry preferred
Studies or experience in the medical field is a plus
Retail sales experience is a plus
Additional languages, including Arabic, Polish and/or Spanish is a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
