- Current certification as a trainer of crisis prevention, de-escalation and prevention program or a willingness to participate in a trainer of trainers program.
- Two (2) years of experience working with special needs students in an educational setting.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform the duties listed.
- Must possess the ability to communicate clearly and consistently with students and staff.
- Must have the ability to safely restrain students who present a danger to self or others.
- Valid Alaska driver’s license, vehicle insurance and use of personal vehicle.
- Must have excellent presentation and public-speaking skills and comfort level.
- Must have excellent organization and time management skills.

Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director of Special Education or designee, the Crisis Prevention, De-escalation and Intervention Trainer, through evidence-based behavior strategies, will provide training to all relevant staff.

Hourly rate: $24.40
Work hours: 7.5 hours per day
Work year: 9 months
