Description
Plans and directs a high school or secondary school athletic, physical education, and nonathletic student activities program; supervises athletic coaches and activity sponsors.
Qualifications
Required
- Master's degree.
- Six (6) years of progressively more responsible experience in teaching, some of which shall have included teaching secondary subjects or equivalent experience.
- Postgraduate educational license with endorsement(s) designated as appropriate to the assignment.
- Administration and supervision PreK-12 endorsement.
- May be required to work evening and weekend events.
- Knowledge of the philosophy, practices, and organizational structure of a comprehensive student activities program.
- Ability to plan, organize, and direct athletic and nonathletic programs.
- Ability to schedule and coordinate student and community activities.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Preferred
- Experience in coaching or directing athletic or nonathletic activities.
