What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional Team Lead position at Families United Network?
Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree and two (2) years of work experience with adolescents
- Associates Degree of 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of work experience
- Supervisory/team leading experience preferred
- Must be at least 21 years of age per DHS regulations
- State Police, FBI, and Child Abuse Clearances are required for this position and will be paid for by the agency

Responsibilities:
- Implement policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations
- Maintain accurate records and reports
- Supervise your assigned direct support professionals
- Ensure program routines and activities are implemented consistently and as scheduled, in accordance with agency policies and procedures
- Conduct staff training, orientation, and staff performance evaluations as needed or assigned. Specific pieces of training assigned will include Safe Crisis Management, Group Facilitation, on-the-job training, and the new hire development plan.
- Meet on a consistent basis with the Program Supervisor to discuss group home operations
- Oversee and delegate the use of program funds to direct support professionals, ensuring receipts are properly submitted
- Complete the monthly inspection checklist for the Ashler Dorm program
- Coordinate transportation in regards to dorm residents’ appointment schedules
- Complete other duties as assigned that are relative to the position

Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safety and maintain the standard of care appropriate for this position. Ability to physically respond to the residents who are engaging in unsafe behavior.
