What are the responsibilities and job description for the Billing Account Analyst position at Family Health Center?
The Billing Account Analyst is responsible for resolving variance/denials using critical thinking, analytical skills, and appropriate decision making to resolve accounts. The Billing Account Analyst applies pertinent Family Health Center Inc., protocols, and processes in problem solving but has the ability to respond to unique cases in which clear policy and procedures are not always established. The Billing Account Analyst maintains a thorough knowledge of carrier policies, direct contracts, subscriber benefits, non-covered services, coding, diagnosis issues, and accounts receivable. A high degree of professionalism and accuracy regarding written and verbal communication between internal and external customers is expected.
Job Qualifications
EDUCATION
Education qualifications must be from a school whose accreditation is recognized by Marshfield Clinic Health System.
Minimum Required: High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of the following courses, per departmental procedures, within one year of hire:
Minimum Required: Two years’ experience in a medical business office, healthcare, pharmaceutical setting or comparable experience.
Preferred/Optional: Experience specific to the department hired within.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position, which must be maintained in good standing:
Minimum Required: For positions hired within the dental centers, Basic Life Support (BLS) awarded by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross within one year of hire.
Preferred/Optional: None
