The position is responsible for upholding RHD values, adheres to the standards of START and any other funding or licensing bodies. Collaborate with Division leadership concerning program support, supervision, development, or any reporting that is sent to the funders. Attend or delegate attendance and represent RHD at meetings with funders, licensing agencies, and accreditation bodies as assigned.
RequirementsEssential Duties and FunctionsProvide consultation and training to all members of the team (clinical team and therapeutic supports)Collaborate with primary treating physicians of persons supported by START and provide recommendationsConsultation to psychiatric hospitals regarding treatment of people with IDD and mental health needs and provide recommendationsParticipate in recurring team meetings as necessary and provide recommendationsProvide on-site consultation as needed for guests therapeutic in-home coaching services. Review health needs, complete assessments, provide recommendations and follow up.Participate in monthly Clinical Education Team (CET) meetings to support the Clinical Director with training, multidisciplinary assessment, recommendations, and treatment planning.Participate in regular START network learning opportunities including quarterly Medical Director Practice Group sessions.QualificationsM.D. / D.O., CNP, or APRN with specialty in psychiatry, licensed to practice in the stateExtensive experience treating individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD)4-6 years clinical experience2 years of Supervisory experience required. Hold a current license to practice in PASTART Allegheny community-based supports for people with developmental disabilities and behavioral health needsSTART Allegheny offers crisis prevention and response services to people with developmental disabilities and complex behavioral health needs, as well as their families and those who provide supports. The goal of the START program is to build relationships and supports across service systems to help people remain in their homes and communities, and enhance the ability of the community to support them.START Allegheny emphasizes the development of cross systems relationships, training and education, as well as crisis prevention and response supports.
