What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounts Payable Specialist position at Famous Supply?
- This position is located on-site at Famous headquarters in Fairlawn, OH. Applicants must be able to reliably commute to this location for the role
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Maintain consistent Vendor communication and contact
- Review statements
- Scan and index invoices
- Verify proper approval on invoices
- Research and resolve accounts payable issues with internal departments and vendors
- Process high volume of payables (500-1000 accounts payable transactions per week)
- Checks and approves all vouchers for payment
- Also prepares invoice deduction notices, as necessary
- Assists in monthly closings
- Assists with accounts receivable and special projects, as necessary
- Additional duties as needed
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of accounting experience
- Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
- Good communication skills for communicating with support personnel and management
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good planning and organizational skills
- High attention to detail
- Intermediate level in Microsoft Word and Excel is required
