What are the responsibilities and job description for the Natural Resources Coordinator position at Fantasy Springs Resort Casino?
The Natural Resources Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of operations and administration of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grant programs; including personnel, financial, contracts, quality assurance management, program development and maintenance. Growth of the Natural Resource Division through liaison activities, facilities and equipment in the areas of air pollution, water pollution and water management. This position requires excellent written and spoken communication skills, organizational and time management skills, flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn new skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Integrate Tribal Natural Resource objectives into EPA funding activities; formulate budgets and fulfill reporting requirements.
- Work cooperatively with staff in collecting and analyzing environmental data concerning all environmental issues.
- Review and provide analysis on natural resource and environmental issues and policies.
- Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships with Federal, State, and local agencies. Correspondence between Tribe and outside agencies, if necessary, and maintain adequate files and reports of natural resource programs and projects.
- Research new monetary sources to fund program activities.
- Training staff in natural resource issues and responsibilities.
- Set organizational sustainability targets, developing plans to meet those targets and oversee delivery.
- Ability to learn new software.
- Organize and perform field operations.
- Perform other Tribal duties as may be assigned.
