Summer Worker

Fargo Public Schools is now recruiting for Summer 2023. This posting is for Internal Applicants only.
Work Hours are Monday - Thursday 6:00am-3:15pm and Friday 6:00am-11:00am

Summer 2023 Areas include:
Custodial $14.01/hr
Groundskeeping $14.01/hr

Qualifications:
Minimum age 16-years prior to start date. Certain roles may require candidates to be age 18-years or older due to safety regulations.
Must be able to self-transport to different district locations within Fargo-Moorhead metro area.
Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Responsibilities:
Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues and supervisors.
Vacuums, shampoos, sweeps, mops, waxes, polishes, and scrubs floor surfaces.
Cleans and dusts furnishings.
Washes windows and mirrors.
Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, showers, and locker rooms.
Keeps cleaning equipment lean and in proper operating condition.
Cleans chalkboards and whiteboards on a regular basis.
Collects trash and places it in trash collection receptacles.
Moves furniture and wquipment as necessary.
Sets up and tears down for special events.
Reports items that are in need of repair.
Kepps grounds free of trash, mows lawns, and trims trees as directed.
Participate in all mandatory training or training appropriate to the position as required by the district.
Other duties as assigned.
