A Cafe Manager with Farmhouse Table Food is an experienced, organized, and customer service focused professional who works in conjunction with multiple departments, their team, and leadership to manage daily operations, maintain cleanliness standards, and enforce company policies. The Cafe Manager will identify, develop, and implement strategies to improve operational effectiveness, drive revenue, and foster an exceptional experience for guests at the downtown Café location. They will oversee budgets, track and report daily revenue/expenses, manage cash handling, and work to increase profit margins. At Farmhouse Table Food the Cafe Manager is also responsible for ensuring the standards of conduct, compliance, and service are upheld, maintaining a well-trained staff, and communicating opportunities for additional development for the team, and ensuring food/beverage preparation quality. The Café Manager will assist with menu planning, costing, pricing, and partner with leadership in implementing promotions to attract customers. The Cafe Manager will be responsible for being able to fill in for absent staff to ensure operations are running smoothly and drive an exceptional experience for guests.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
· Staff Management including recruitment, training, scheduling, and supervising cafe staff. Fostering a positive work environment and setting performance standards.
· Manage daily workflows, maintain cleanliness, ensuring equipment is functioning, and enforce company policies.
· Maintaining adequate inventory levels, ordering supplies, manage vendors, and controlling costs and food/beverage preparation quality.
· Oversee budgets, owning consistent reporting to track revenue/expenses, manage cash handling, and work to increase profit margins.
· Addressing customer & partner inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive experience.
· Creates, presents, & implements marketing strategies/promotions, assisting with menu planning, costing, and pricing.
· Establish and maintain safety and cleanliness standards and ensuring compliance with regulations.
· Fill in for gaps in staffing to ensure consistent operations and an exceptional guest experience.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
· 3-5 years’ proven experience working in a leadership capacity in a Café or food service environment.
· Associates degree or equivalent experience preferred.
· Strong organizational skills.
· Excellent communication skills in multiple formats (phone, email, and interpersonal).
· Problem-solving skills.
· Customer service focus and skill set.
· Time management and ability to multi-task.
· Schedule flexibility.
· Understanding and certification for food safety regulations.
· Proficient in creating, understanding, and communicating reporting in multiple formats.
· Proficient in Google suite (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Docs, etc.).
· Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation to work.
· Excellent customer service skills and mindset.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
