Inventory Control Specialist

Headquartered in Montgomery, Alabama, Fastening Solutions (FSI) regionally distributes and markets industrial quality tools and fasteners to industrial manufacturers, lumber yards, and contractors. Specifically, FSI focuses on selling wood fasteners consisting of collated nails, staples, screws, and tools. Additionally, FSI repairs and maintains pneumatic hand tools.

FSI currently has a position available for an Inventory Control Specialist. The candidate must be a self-starter with attention to detail.

Summary

Responsible for maintaining the integrity of all inventories, virtually and physically by using RF scanner. Ensures all inventory is handled in compliance with company policy and procedures. Completes inventory audits to verify that inventory is in proper locations and has proper quantities.

Duties:

• Use RF scanner for timely completion of assigned inventory verification counts.
• Audit/inspect locations for product location and quantity accuracy and report findings to management.
• Audit receiving, packaging, and shipping process for accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized work area to include the receiving area.
• Adhere to all safety and company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 years of previous inventory control experience.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new technology.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong organization skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the workday.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
