The Department of Management & Entrepreneurship in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting for a Term 9-month, direct appointment position to teach for the 2024-2025 academic year. This position includes teaching three courses per semester for the Management & Entrepreneurship Department as well as a joint role with the daVinci Center.
Required Qualifications:
Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or MS in a field closely related to management; or a Bachelor degree in a field closely related to management and relevant work experience in an area related to the course being taught.
Strong oral presentation and communication skills.
Ability, Experience & background to teach at least one of the following courses for the Management & Entrepreneurship Department: Strategic Management, Survey of Entrepreneurship, Social Entrepreneurship & Innovation or other courses in the discipline as needed. Additional responsibilities as directed by the da Vinci Center are also required.Significant and substantive professional business experience in an area related to the course being taught
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU
Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. in Management or a closely related discipline (e.g., strategic management, entrepreneurship) at the time the appointment begins
Prior teaching experience is particularly welcome
