What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Support position at Federal Signal?
Essential Duties:
- Identify chassis that need to be fueled and powered up.
- Recharge any dead batteries.
- Fuel chassis as needed with mobile fuel tank or off campus.
- Document any malfunctions beyond fuel and battery power.
- Assist with moving chassis around as part of the preparation for Installation.
- Other duties identified by the department and/or manager.
Skills/Qualifications Required:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: Valid driver’s license. Prior driving experience and a good driving record.
- Skills: Problem-solving skills with the ability to read and follow instructions. Effective communication skills to relay information clearly. Basic mechanical skills, preferred. Must be a team player and self-motivated. Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, squat, bend and walk for extended periods. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to get in and out of chassis. Able to work in multiple different weather conditions.
