Job Title: Network Technician - Advanced (Night Shift)
Location: Anderson, SC
Job Type: Full-time | Contract (12 Months) | Onsite
Shift: Night Shift (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM) | 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 3 days off. (Every other weekend off)

About the Role:

Client is seeking two Network Technicians – Advanced to join its Computing and Information Technology team. This is a 12-month fully onsite contract role with the potential for extension. One position is open due to retirement and the other due to a contractor relocation.

This position is ideal for professionals with strong IP networking skills, monitoring tools experience, and a passion for customer service. Mainframe experience is highly preferred but can be taught.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
• 9Location Requirement: Candidate must be a South Carolina resident or willing to relocate at their own expense before starting. Preference for candidates in SC, NC, or GA.
• Must have reliable personal transportation (no mass transit availability)

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor Clien’s network, servers, and applications.
• Resolve incidents and service requests or escalate to SMEs as needed.
• Respond to customer inquiries via email, phone, and in person.
• Conduct equipment inspections and report abnormalities.
• Configure network/system resources and update documentation.
• Provide Tier II technical support.
• Perform periodic system maintenance and pre-configured port activations.
• Prepare training materials and contribute to the knowledge base.

Required Skills:

• 5 years of IP Network Troubleshooting
• 3 years of DNS Configuration
• 3 years of experience with Monitoring Tools (e.g., Splunk, SolarWinds)
• 2 years of ServiceNow ITSM Tool
• 2 years of Server Batch Scripting
• 2 years with Cisco Network Tools (ISE, Catalyst)
• 2 years of Technical Writing

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of Mainframe Batch Processing
• Python Scripting experience
• Ansible experience
• Leadership capabilities
• Strong Customer Service orientation
• Excellent Self-Management skills
