Fernbrook Family Center provides internships for Masters Clinical level students from the fields of Social Work, Psychology, and other related fields. This internship offers a unique blend of practical training, mentorship, and real-world challenges, providing you with a solid foundation for your future career endeavors.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

• Ability to tailor your hours to meet the internship requirements between 7:00am – 7:00pm.
• Travel to various locations required
• Able to work up to 40 hours per week, with overtime approval required.
  
  

Duties And Responsibilities

• The student intern works under the direct supervision of the agency’s qualified site supervisor.
• All services provided by the Intern will be reviewed by the Supervisor.
• Provide skills services to children, adults, and families.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with external providers.
• Seek supervisory as needed.
• Attend trainings for skill maintenance.
• Participate in staff meetings and group supervision.
• Uphold Fernbrook's mission and policies.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Physical Demands

• Extended periods of sitting and computer work.
• Stamina to work with clients.
• Occasional lift up to 15 pounds.
  
  

Education And Experience

• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license, car insurance, and acceptable driving record.
• Pass criminal background check based on agency and Department of Human Services requirements.
  
  

Preferred Education And Experience

• Experience working with diverse client populations.
• Bilingual proficiency.
  
  

Supervisory Responsibilities: Coordinate services with fellow Fernbrook employees but not responsibly for their supervision.
