The Role

IWMS uses the Salesforce platform as its Client Relationship Management (CRM) tool and as a key driver of the associate experience for sales, relationship management, consulting & client service teams. IWMS considers Salesforce a key strategic asset & capability.

The User Experience Designer is a core member of the CRM Enablement product area, playing a key role in improving the usability and performance of our Salesforce user experience. This role will require collaboration with business partners, product owners, business architect & development teams to achieve the best user experience and adoption of the Salesforce platform.

The Team

The CRM Enablement product area sits in the Fund and Brokerage Operations and Technology (FBOT) organization supporting CRM users in Institutional Wealth Management Services (IWMS) and Fidelity Institutional (FI). The User Experience Designer role reports into the business enablement team and is a shared resource across all CRM squads. This role partners closely with the end users, business architect, tech lead and squad leaders to build elegant, scalable solutions bringing to bear the best of the Salesforce ecosystem.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• BA or BS degree in user experience design, human-computer interaction, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• 7 years’ work experience as a user experience designer or similar role in a related field
• Experience with application and CRM design (Salesforce SLDS experience preferred)
• The ability to understand customer needs, motivations, and behaviors and translate them into actionable insights
• Capability to deliver original, high-quality design work that is conceptually strong, meets business needs, and is at the right level of fidelity for each phase of a project
• Experience with Agile methodology and tools
• Expert knowledge of current design tools, such as Figma, along with an ability to learn new tools
• Experience working on agile teams delivering value in digital products preferred
• Experience running and/or using research to support evidence-focused design decisions preferred
• Outstanding social and presentation skills; equally at ease speaking with development teams or executives when articulating and advocating design concepts and rationale

• Serve as a bridge linking design, product, engineering, and marketing teams
