Lathe Machinist / Operator

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Lathe Set Up Machinist / Operator to join our dynamic team in Arvada, CO. Shifts availalbe are Week Nights (Mon- Thurs) or Weekends (Fri-Mon). If you have a passion for precision machining and a knack for problem-solving, this is the perfect opportunity for you! In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating advanced 5-axis CNC machines to produce high-quality components that meet our clients' specifications.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate 5-axis CNC machines according to engineering specifications and production schedules.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to ensure accurate machining.
• Perform tool changes, offsets, and adjustments as needed to maintain quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any machining issues that arise during production.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations.
  
  

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining is a plus.
• Proven experience as a CNC machinist, specifically with 5-axis machines.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Proficient in using precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
