We are seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support a broad range of financial functions related to real estate investments and operational accounting. This role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with financial reporting, and the ability to manage complex data across multiple entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial activities related to real estate development projects, including vendor invoicing, tracking construction budgets, processing funding requests, and communicating updates to investment partners.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accurate cash reporting.
- Prepare and post recurring and ad hoc journal entries to support the monthly close process.
- Produce monthly and quarterly financial reports for a portfolio of self-storage properties.
- Record payroll-related entries into the general ledger.
- Handle quarterly valuation adjustments and prepare financials for an investment held in a real estate fund.
- Apply equity method accounting to relevant investments and ensure proper reporting.
- Reconcile various balance sheet accounts, including intercompany transactions and eliminations.
- Assist in compiling schedules and documentation to support the annual financial statement audit.
- Allocate shared expenses across multiple business units or affiliated entities.
- Upload financial data from subsidiaries into consolidation software (e.g., Essbase) and resolve any discrepancies.
- Monitor and maintain data integration from accounts payable and expense management platforms.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks as assigned by leadership.
- Prepare financial data required for banking compliance and reporting.
- Participate in other accounting or finance-related tasks as needed.
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
