What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Planner position at Finch Paper?
Actively plan and prioritize work requests in line with the department’s vision. Identify job hazards, materials and permit requirements to ensure a safe working environment. Determine priority, cost, manpower and time estimates, re-evaluate estimates to reflect changing job requirements and prepare job sequence requirements for major plant projects and for specific maintenance work. Maintain drawings, manuals and organized reference materials for area assets; determine and arrange for resources such as supplies, materials, parts and special tools or equipment required to perform maintenance inspections and/or work; assist field coordination between contractors, consultants and material suppliers on assigned projects; maintain effective communication/feedback channels with operators, trades people, and other area resource roles to ensure that maintenance systems and planning is optimal to achieve business unit goals; technical knowledge of production equipment, predictive and preventative maintenance processes and data management tools; base level of mechanical assembly understanding is required. High School Diploma or GED; three (3) or more years of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or construction environment; one (1) or more years’ experience with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS); experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Project); ability to work week-end duty on a rotational basis; ability to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
