What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fire Protection Dispatcher position at Fire Protection Testing?
· Scheduling all inspections and repairs using Service Software.
· Maintain 2 weeks of full day scheduled work for all assigned technicians and apprentices
· Ensure technicians have all necessary supplies, tools, and equipment required for each job
· Attach previous notes to new jobs created so the technician can see what was done
· Working with customers’ requests to schedule our services.
· Take inbound repairs requests, enter orders in computer, and dispatch as necessary.
· Interacting with vendors, subcontractors, and internal customers.
· Receive in shop and tag all material ordered to specific jobs as “received” in ServiceTrade
· Must be able to multi-task & prioritize many things at once.
· Excellent verbal communication skills required to work with customers, technicians, sales personnel, and managers.
· Work independently, as well as, with other team members.
· Take ownership of repair schedules/issues, escalating issues to supervisors as needed.
· Reassign work as needed, making judgments based on current workloads and priorities.
· Communicate schedule with customers and offer support over the phone.
· Communicate directly with repairmen and help assist with any issues as they arise by responding within 20 minutes.
· Professionally field customer complaints and attempt to resolve, involving supervisor when necessary.
· Review and complete jobs on a daily basis within
· Backup to other department dispatchers, as necessary.
· Know and use formal and informal channels to achieve faster work results for the team.
· Maintain clear and accurate records of previous, current, and future inspections/repairs.
· Physical requirements: ability to sit or stand for several hours at a time; and lift or move up to 20-pounds.
· Must be committed to creating value in the service department.
· Answer service phone line and direct customer calls.
· Other duties as assigned from the Manager.
· Must be consistent and dependable with attendance, must have strong organizational skills, and must have a positive attitude.
· Ensure repairmen have as much work as possible in the town/area they are working in to get as much done in a day as possible, with a focus on priority repairs.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
