Senior Business Systems Analyst - System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Quality Control (Remote)

Overview

This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Business Systems Analyst (SBSA) to join our System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Quality Control (QC) team. This role will be critical in supporting team metrics and reporting, performing quality reviews of analyst work, and representing the team on cross-functional calls.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the SDLC process in a regulated environment, experience with data analytics and reporting, and the communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams.

Responsibilities

Quality Control Oversight

• Perform second-level QC reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of checks performed by team members.
• Partner with analysts to provide feedback, support consistency, and drive continuous improvement.
• Help maintain job aids and other training resources for the QC function.
• Provide training for new associates.

Metrics, Reporting & Insights

• Design, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports to track QC team performance, SDLC compliance rates, and key control metrics.
• Analyze trends and anomalies in change request reviews to identify patterns, gaps, or areas for process improvement.
• Translate QC data into actionable insights for leadership and stakeholder

Team Representation & Collaboration

• Represent the QC team on governance, compliance, and leadership calls.
• Act as a liaison during audits and cross-functional meetings, including interactions with Risk, Change Management, SDLC Governance, and SDLC Enablement teams.
• Support coordination with adjacent teams to ensure alignment on change review expectations and metrics.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operational Support OR High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Systems Support, or Analytics, or Operational Support

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and its importance in a regulated environment. Demonstrated experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Excel, Tableau, or similar platforms. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership and cross-functional teams. Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and quality.

Preferred:

Experience in financial services or other regulated industries, particularly with frameworks such as FFIEC or SOX. Familiarity with ServiceNow platform. Background in internal audit, quality assurance, or technology controls. Experience creating professional presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint, including the ability to summarize data insights and metrics.

The base pay for this position is generally between $112,000 and $171,000. Actual starting base pay will be determined based on skills, experience, location, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
