Description
FUNCTION: Supervise personnel and operations of the branch. Accept responsibility for daily branch operations and serve as a back-up for the Branch Manager. Originate and grant consumer loans either within own lending authority or within lending authority of branch manager. Work in a team environment demonstrating enthusiasm, a positive outlook and a professional manner while maintaining confidentiality.
Duties:
Provide management oversight and direction to branch personnel:
- Assign work schedules, oversee workflow, and provide ongoing support to positions supervised
- Foster cross training and professional growth of staff
- Assess performance and provide feedback to staff via a formal review process and a periodic coaching program
Be responsible for daily operations of a branch banking office:
- Implement Bank policies and procedures in the areas of cash handling, physical security, information security, and deposit account administration
- Conduct branch operations in compliance with Federal banking regulations, including Bank Secrecy Act and USA Patriot Act
- Conduct self-audits to monitor adherence to Bank policies and government regulations
Provide counsel and information on banking and financial matters to customers
- Determine customer needs through consultative discussions;
- Explain and sell bank products to meet customer’s needs; and
- Provide notary and signature guarantee services for Bank customers.

Perform duties as a Bank consumer loan officer
- Interview loan applicants
- Research credit history and financial data
- Make loan approval/denial decision, or present loan for Senior Lender decision;
- Monitor document preparation, close the loan, or administer the declination;
- Maintain current lending and industry knowledge through professional reading and education
May act as Saturday Supervisor or work in the officer rotation.
Perform other duties as requested.
Requirements
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:
- College degree desirable, particularly in areas of business administration, finance or accounting; or equivalent combination of other course and work experience including experience in as a Banking Associate or similar position.
- Prior supervisory experience helpful.
- Must have the ability to become NMLS registered.
