Responsibilities

• Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.
• Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
• Distributes accounting reports as directed.
• May assist with mail distribution, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks as needed.
• Reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Manage and process employee expense reports
• Assist with month-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
• Generate financial reports and assist with data analysis
• Communicate with vendors and resolve any payment discrepancies or issues
• Assist in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in accounting or related field preferred
• 2 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK CONDITIONS:

• Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle and feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Stand or sit for prolonged periods of time
• Repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
