Billing Specialist

Fisher Associates is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our Accounting team. The Billing Specialist is responsible for performing all aspects of the project billing process, A/P, A/R and supporting payroll related tasks while working closely with Project Managers to ensure accurate reporting and invoicing.

The primary function of this role is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Establish and maintain strong client relationships adhering to the Fisher Clientship philosophy.
• Perform all aspects of the billing process, including contract interpretation, project set up and invoicing clients for professional services using accounting software (Deltek Vision, Microsoft Word and Excel)
• Soft Accounts Receivable Collections
• Project-Reporting including Job Costing
• Works closely with Project Managers, providing financial reports and data in order to prepare invoices.
• Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
• Prepares reports, including but not limited to project-related reports.
• Reconcile records internally as well as external vendors or customers.
• Responsible for verifying timely submission and accuracy of employee timesheets and expense reports weekly.
• Effectively coordinate with other sectors and service lines to as necessary to fulfill project need.
• Work on projects as needed.
• Backup support for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll related tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education & Experience

• Associates degree in Accounting or Business preferred
• 3-5 years of billing experience preferred.
• Deltek Vision software experience preferred but not required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Word, and Excel required.

Salary Range: $25 - $29 per hour
