This role will join the Legal team and will have an impact immediately on all things subsidiary management, corporate transactions, equity and more. This is a role that can be based remotely, or out of any of our offices.
What You’ll Do:
As we expand our team and business, your ideas and contributions will make an immediate impact. This is an unparalleled opportunity to bring your years of corporate knowledge to provide organizational and substantive support to the attorneys on the corporate team, have the opportunity to build out new systems and procedures, and work closely with a variety of cross-functional partners internally and externally. Reporting to the Senior Corporate Counsel, you will be responsible for providing paralegal support to the Legal Counsel and other senior staff members, as needed. This is a strategic role that will grow with the business and we are looking for a highly adaptable, organized and self-motivated individual who can handle fast-paced projects independently.
- Liaise with and manage domestic and foreign outside counsel/advisors to address and maintain requests as needed.
- Maintain corporate records and support various transactional matters, including interfacing with the Boards of Directors of our international subsidiaries.
- Collaborate with C-Level executives, finance, people operations, legal, and other teams in both the US and internationally to anticipate, implement and/or address complex projects.
- With assistance from the Senior Corporate Counsel, act as our point of contact for international subsidiaries, both internally and externally, as Fivetran manages risk and opportunities, and new possibilities, with subsidiaries around the globe.
- Serve as a Project Manager, establishing and implementing efficient project plans, processes, and tools to help the legal team and other areas of the business navigate complex problems in the international arena.
- Create internal knowledge management resources and ensure they are kept up to date with changing policies.
- Ability to identify legal issues, conduct research and identify solutions.
- Other special projects given your interest areas and the needs of a rapidly scaling company & team.
Skills We’re Looking For:
Someone who thrives simultaneously in the details and in the big picture communications. You are process and detail oriented when it comes to the what, and engaging and responsive when it comes to the how of working with our Legal Team.
- Undergraduate degree from a 4-year accredited institution.
- 4-10 years of experience as a corporate paralegal at a multinational company or law firm.
- Prior experience at a high-growth private company.
- Prior experience coordinating notarization and foreign legalization of documents.
- Manage due diligence and know your customer requests from corporate secretarial firms, financial institutions and third-party service providers.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide legal documents required to open international bank accounts and update banking resolutions.
- A natural process orientation, and ability to speak to your experience identifying, leading and implementing one or more impactful process-related changes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated self-initiative that drives a desire for impact and achievement.
- Comfort with fast-paced environments and openness to change.
- IPO experience preferred.
